The Flowers of Ireland (1)
Lavender blooming in the backyard.
Broughshane's claim to fame:
Winner of competition for best landscape and floral gardens, for many years running.
Some of the flowers at the botanical garden. I almost lost Abbie in the green house, as she was in her camouflage outfit.
Above: (upper) Would the red tulip in the back row please stand up and explain what you're doing in this group photo?
(lower) The warm sun brought the university students out onto the lawn like so many mushrooms that appear after a rain.
Left: Abbie's favorite of the flowers we saw today, but she doesn't know what it is. The bell-like flowers and colored leaves are part of the same plant. Anyone know?
Right: This cherry tree is loaded with blossoms. Remind me to come back in a couple of months.
